Our Blacksmith shop is able to make parts not available
in today's market.
Junk or Heirloom? You decide
the value of a gun and the repair is your decision.
What types of guns do I specialize in?
Marlin, Remmington,
Savage, Ruger, Winchester, Smith and Wesson, Mossberg,
Browning, Thompson,
Thompson Center Fire, Knight Black
Powder...
I work on 22's, 30-30's, shotguns,
single shot, pump, semi auto, double barrel, over and
under, combination, hand guns, revolvers - whatever comes in the shop.
Here are a few
examples of the situations we deal with:
- I have had two double barrels that need outside
hammers fitted.
- I have had guns come in jammed, locked up.
- I have had live rounds stuck in chambers.
- I have had guns come in not firing, not cycling,
not extracting, not ejecting, not feeding.
- I have had guns come in that are family heirlooms,
handed down through the generations. In fact, I just
had a J. Stevens single-barrel shotgun come in. Not
firing. Broken firing pin. Even with the assortment of
firing pins sold on the today's market, we were unable
to find a pin with the proper diameter. So with
special stressed steel, and time on the lathe, and
time on the milling machine, and now the old Stevens
from Grandpa shoots like it was brand new. Another
happy client.
- I had a man wanting me to restore his Savage 1899
and add a scope to it. All the regular suppliers did
not have a proper mount. So time on the milling
machine with some Weaver bar stock and I machined him
a mount.
- I can reduce felt re-coil on your favorite gun to
about 85% to put the fun back into shooting. Don't let
your gun give you a beating!
